Why WFW Certified wines limits alcohol level to 13% and lower.

GENDER DIFFERENCES IN MODERATE DRINKING EFFECTS WOMEN'S TASTES–

-
Women find most red wines rather heavy and unpleasant.
In general, women prefer white wines (documented). Most consumers encounter a “wall of wines” at retail, on line and in restaurants. There are over 11,000 wineries in the U.S. alone, …an alcoholic beverage industry dominated by and focused on men’s tastes and tolerance for high alcohol,
tannic and acidic wines.

WOMEN'S RESPONSE TO ALCOHOL–
-
Women know they get buzzed and giddy much quicker than men and find this ungraceful and socially unbecoming…

CAUSES OF GENDER EFFECT DIFFERENCES
IN GENERAL–
-
Women have lower tolerance for added stomach acid, tannin, bisulfites and additives collectively.
-
Women have less capacity to dilute alcohol in the body. Men have approx. 61% body water concentration vs. 52% for women, regardless of weight factor.
-
Women process alcohol slower than men as a result of lower concentrations of dehydrogenase, the enzyme that metabolizes alcohol before it passes into the bloodstream.
-
The content of body fat is directly related to the rate of absorption and metabolizing of alcohol. Women have a higher concentration of body fat than men. Since fat does not absorb alcohol, the alcohol content remains in a higher form in the bloodstream.
A WFW Pleasant sense of well-beingSM is attained by a delicious wine that does not cause a buzz-spike that high alcohol wines do, but rather a WFW relaxing buzz.
